In the highlight of the Rainbow & DeMolay evening on Thursday, the DDGM presented the Joseph Warren Medal to Wor Dave Abbott. Walking the honored recipient around the lodge, the DDGM recited Wor Dave’s many achievements, including a lifelong dedication to Rainbow and DeMolay, and citing his long service to Rural Lodge.
Dave’s family was present to join in an appreciation of his work. His father, Bro Bill Abbott, and his mother Dottie had flown in from Florida for the occasion. Dave’s wife, Susan is active in Rainbow, and their three children are officers in DeMolay and Rainbow – they are a completely Masonic family in fact.
