RW Nathan Rosenhek

We announce with sadness the death of RW Bro Nate Rosenhek of Delta Lodge, who died on Thursday 9 March 2006 at the age of 78.

Bro Nate was a recipient of the Joseph Warren Medal, and was Past District Deputy Grand Master of the former Hyde Park Masonic District, and Past Master of Lafayette-Dover Lodge of Norwood, Quincy Lodge of Quincy and Euclid Lodge of Stoughton, and was a Past Grand Representative to the Grand Lodge of Idaho.

Many knew Bro Nate as “The Grouch” because of his initial gruff manner and because if you asked him how he was, he inevitably replied, “Terrible, terrible.” His mannerism belied his true character, though, for Bro Nate was much liked within the fraternity.

According to the Quincy Patriot Ledger, Bro Nate lived in Hingham and was former owner of the Colonial Pharmacy in Hingham, Weymouth and Braintree. He had served in the Army during WWII.
Born and raised in Quincy, he graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.

We add our condolences to his widow, Mildred (Rappaport) Rosenhek and his two sons.
