Many knew Bro Nate as “The Grouch” because of his initial gruff manner and because if you asked him how he was, he inevitably replied, “Terrible, terrible.” His mannerism belied his true character, though, for Bro Nate was much liked within the fraternity. According to the Quincy Patriot Ledger, Bro Nate lived in Hingham and was former owner of the Colonial Pharmacy in Hingham, Weymouth and Braintree. He had served in the Army during WWII. We add our condolences to his widow, Mildred (Rappaport) Rosenhek and his two sons. From Newsletter 17 |
